The US Defense Department said Poland will host a new maintenance, repair and overhaul facility for Lockheed Martin's PAC-3 interceptors, with Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden supporting the supply chain.
Site Chosen
The US Defense Department announced on 27 October 2026 that Poland will host a new maintenance, repair and overhaul facility for Lockheed Martin's PAC-3 Patriot interceptors. Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden will support the facility through supply chain integration. The announcement was made during NATO's Conference of National Armaments Directors. [1] [2]
The Pentagon said the hub would "dramatically shorten turnaround times and further secure critical supply lines." The facility will not manufacture PAC-3 missiles. The partner countries agreed in July to bring a PAC-3 servicing site to Europe, but the location had not been decided at the time. [1]
Statements and Production Talks
"Today's announcement puts partnership into action," Pentagon acquisition chief Michael Duffey said. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Poland "was contending against several ambitious competitors" for the site. Defense News reported that European allies are negotiating with Washington over possible local production of PAC-3 MSE interceptors, with Germany, Poland and Ukraine among those lobbying for domestic manufacturing.
