Oracle and OpenAI Bring ChatGPT and Codex Into Oracle Business Software

Oracle announced four products built with OpenAI at Oracle AI World on October 27, including a ChatGPT-based workspace for Oracle applications and a small-business bundle with $12,000 a year in cloud credits.
Four Joint Products
Oracle and OpenAI expanded their partnership on October 27 at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas, announcing a suite that combines OpenAI models, ChatGPT and Codex with Oracle applications, data and cloud infrastructure. The first four offerings are Oracle AI Workspace, Oracle AI Security Mesh, Oracle App Composer and the Oracle AI SMB Bundle. [1] [2]
Oracle AI Workspace uses plugins in ChatGPT to connect employees to Oracle Fusion Applications, NetSuite, Oracle AI Database and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), letting them retrieve information and complete approved workflows within existing permissions. Unite.AI reported that Oracle lists the product as coming soon. [1] [2]
Security Testing and App Building
Oracle AI Security Mesh is a managed service that uses OpenAI cyber models to find and fix vulnerabilities across OCI, other clouds and on-premises systems. It combines those models with Oracle's testing tools, independent validation and testing infrastructure, so customers do not need to build their own agentic defensive or offensive systems. Customers define where testing is authorised, while Oracle manages safeguards meant to reduce the risk of outages during testing. [1]
Oracle App Composer lets employees without coding expertise build applications with Codex, with Oracle handling deployment on OCI and applying identity, permissions, audit and lifecycle controls. It supports APEXlang, a new Oracle technology, and was listed as in limited availability. [1] [2]
Unite.AI described the Security Mesh workflow as Oracle mapping a customer's systems and proposing a test plan for approval, agents probing for weaknesses, a separate agent verifying the findings, and coding agents drafting fixes for approval before the platform confirms the gap is closed. [2]
Small-Business Bundle
The Oracle AI SMB Bundle is a free-to-start package providing $12,000 in Oracle cloud credits each year. It combines ChatGPT Business, AI Workspace, Codex, App Composer, OCI and NetSuite QuickStart for invoicing and cash-flow management. According to Unite.AI, eligibility is limited to verified, privately held, independent US businesses, excluding government entities, nonprofits and crypto businesses, and credits are allocated annually for up to three years subject to review. Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk said the suite unites OpenAI's capabilities "with Oracle applications, data, and cloud infrastructure". [1]
