Anthropic Report Shows Junior Staff Share Falling as Meeting Time Rises

Anthropic said the share of junior-level employees in its technical departments fell from 21 percent to 14 percent since early 2025. Meeting time per employee rose 20 percent year on year, the company said.

Anthropic said in a report published Friday that junior staff made up 14 percent of its technical departments, down from 21 percent in early 2025, and that junior employees accounted for 9 percent of technical hires, down from 27 percent. [1]
Calendar data showed meeting time per employee up 20 percent over the year, and 16 percent for technical contributors. The company said productivity had risen, citing more code per person, but conceded that more code does not necessarily mean better code. [1]
